What this is
Senior architecture leadership and skilled technical personnel for full-lifecycle delivery — requirements through hypercare — within the prime’s implementation team.
Who it’s for
Federal civilian agencies, prime contractors, and enterprise buyers running Microsoft-native programs that require workstream-lead accountability rather than bench-rate staff augmentation.
Reference architecture
Microsoft-native by default — Azure, M365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform. Stack-agnostic engagements available where buyer environment dictates.
Engagement model
Three-phase delivery — alignment → execution → operations transfer. Embedded inside prime implementation teams; documentation and operations transfer as first-class deliverables.
18-month Delivery — compressed Fortune 500 ERP implementation relative to comparable scope
12-person Team — Supply Chain workstream-lead accountability across the lifecycle
100+ End users trained — multi-stakeholder rollout across business groups

Overview

Senior-led delivery, not bench rates

Most professional-services engagements fail at the workstream-lead seam. Skilled individual contributors do not substitute for senior architectural accountability, and senior accountability cannot be bought at a bench rate. The result is programs that run on time through Phase 1 and stall when the buyer's environment, integration surface, or compliance posture surfaces complexity that mid-tier delivery cannot resolve.

Cornerstone Systems Group provides senior architecture leadership and skilled technical personnel under a single delivery posture. Workstream-lead accountability inside the prime's implementation team. Requirements through hypercare. Microsoft-native by default, stack-agnostic when the buyer environment requires it. Documentation and operations transfer are first-class deliverables, not afterthoughts.

Delivery Posture

Microsoft-native, buyer-tenancy aligned

Delivery aligns to the buyer's existing Microsoft tenancy by default — Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID for identity and access, and the productivity, collaboration, and line-of-business surfaces the buyer already operates. This posture eliminates substrate-introduction risk on day one and inherits the buyer's regulated-tenancy compliance posture (Azure Government, GCC, GCC High) where required.

Where the buyer environment requires non-Microsoft substrate — AWS-native, Linux-native, or specialized line-of-business platforms — engagement proceeds on the buyer's stack without retrofit. The delivery posture is workstream-lead accountability and documentation discipline; the substrate is the buyer's choice.

Engagement Model

Three-phase delivery

Phase 1

Alignment

Requirements review, stakeholder mapping, and integration surface assessment. Supporting buyer clearance and access posture where applicable. Working agreements with prime, buyer, and integrator teams. Workstream scope and acceptance criteria documented before execution begins.

Phase 2

Embedded Delivery

Workstream-lead deployment inside the prime's implementation team. Full lifecycle execution — requirements refinement, architecture, configuration, integration, testing, training, and production deployment. Status reporting on the prime's cadence. Risk and issue management documented in the prime's tooling.

Phase 3

Operations Transfer

Hypercare support through stabilization. Operations runbook, knowledge-transfer documentation, and runtime ownership handoff to the buyer's sustainment team. Lessons-learned synthesis captured for downstream engagements on the same program or parallel programs in the buyer's portfolio.

Engagement Patterns

Where senior-led professional services earn their keep

Engagement patterns share a common shape: the buyer or prime requires senior architectural accountability inside a defined workstream, full lifecycle delivery rather than discrete task execution, and documentation discipline that survives team turnover and audit.

  • Federal civilian ERP modernization — senior architect embed. Prime contractor implementation team requires a workstream lead for supply-chain, finance, or operations modernization on the buyer's existing Microsoft Dynamics 365 tenancy. CSG provides full lifecycle workstream accountability from requirements through hypercare, with documentation produced to federal review standards.
  • Prime contractor IT services bench — surge workstream capacity. Prime executing a multi-year IT services contract requires surge capacity for technical leadership on a parallel task order. CSG embeds a workstream lead on the prime's terms, inside the prime's delivery cadence, with knowledge transfer to the prime's sustainment team at engagement close.
  • Global enterprise digital transformation — multi-region program leadership. Enterprise buyer executing a multi-region rollout requires consistent senior leadership across geographic and time-zone boundaries. CSG provides a single workstream lead accountable across the rollout sequence, with regional handoff documentation captured at each phase boundary.
  • Regulated mid-market modernization — full lifecycle delivery. Mid-market regulated buyer requires platform modernization (migration, integration, or new capability deployment) and lacks internal senior architecture capacity to lead the engagement. CSG provides full lifecycle accountability from requirements through operations transfer, documenting decisions and rationale at each phase for the buyer's audit and continuity needs.
